Israel Launches Drone Attack on Southern Lebanon
Citing official sources, media confirmed the attack was carried out by an Israeli unmanned aerial vehicle. No casualties were immediately reported.
The Israeli military has not released a statement regarding the latest strike.
This comes just days after an earlier drone operation on August 22, when Israel targeted the border town of Ayta ash-Shab in the Nabatieh governorate, killing one person.
Although a ceasefire went into effect on November 27, 2024, Israel has maintained a near-daily campaign of aerial and ground assaults across southern Lebanon. Since the truce began, Israeli forces have launched over 4,300 violations, according to official figures, resulting in at least 245 deaths and 513 injuries.
Despite partially pulling back from the region, Israel continues to occupy five strategic hilltops seized during the latest escalations.
