US launches retaliatory operation in Syria after Dec. 13 attack
The operation, named Operation Hawkeye Strike, was launched after an assault on Dec. 13 that targeted US personnel stationed in eastern Syria. He issued a stark warning to anyone considering attacks on US interests, saying, “If you target Americans — anywhere in the world — you will spend the rest of your brief, anxious life knowing the United States will hunt you, find you, and ruthlessly kill you.”
