CENTCOM Confirms US Forces Suffer Serious Injuries During Iran Operation

(MENAFN) U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) says that 18 American service members have been "seriously wounded" since the start of the joint U.S.-Israeli military campaign against Iran, as stated by reports.

The update, provided by spokesperson Capt. Tim Hawkins, comes after the confirmation of a fourth death—a service member who succumbed to injuries sustained during Iran’s initial counterattacks.

All four fatalities occurred from the same attack in Kuwait, according to reports.

These casualties were reported as the U.S.-Israeli operation enters its third day. The strikes, launched on Saturday, killed several senior Iranian officials, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Tehran launched drone and missile attacks targeting several Gulf nations, primarily U.S. military bases in the region.

Earlier, CENTCOM reported that three U.S. F-15E Strike Eagles, supporting the operation, went down over Kuwait due to an "apparent friendly fire incident." All six crew members ejected safely and were recovered in stable condition.
