Gaza Death Toll Rises Amid Ongoing Israeli Conflict

(MENAFN) The Palestinian Health Ministry reported on Monday that the death toll in Gaza from Israel’s war since October 2023 has reached 72,280, with 172,014 people wounded.

In the past 24 hours, the ministry said two individuals were killed and a third was injured by Israeli fire. Since the ceasefire agreement took effect on Oct. 10, 2025, at least 704 people have reportedly been killed and 1,914 others wounded.

Authorities have recovered 756 bodies from the rubble since the ceasefire began, according to the ministry.

The conflict has displaced nearly the entire population of Gaza and caused extensive destruction, affecting roughly 90% of civilian infrastructure. The United Nations estimates that rebuilding the territory will cost approximately $70 billion.
